The cause of fine particulate matter (PM 2.5) is mainly
due to NOx (Nitrogen oxides) in atmosphere.
NANO is specialized in
manufacturing SCR DeNOx catalyst to remove nitrogen oxides.
What is Nitrogen oxides(NOx)?
Nitrogen oxides(NOx)
Nitrogen oxide is a chemical compound that consists of nitrogen and oxygen and found in exhaust gas components.
It is a typical air pollutant that reacts with water in the air, volatile organic compounds, etc.
and causes acid rain and photochemical smog which are harmful to the living ecosystem.
The process which nitrogen oxides
become fine particulate matter (PM2.5)
: Nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2) which generated in various combustion processes react with ozone (O3) in the atmosphere and produce nitric acid (HNO3). It is then converted to ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) reacting with ammonia (NH3) which is an atmospheric alkaline substance.

NOx in exhaust gas stream converts to environmentally harmless nitrogen and water vapor by reacting with NH3 as passing through NANO catalyst layer installed in a SCR reactor.
